Originally from Denver, Colorado, Richard has called Iowa home for the past six years. With over 20 years of experience in project management—primarily in property insurance restoration—he brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to the Freed Construction team. His background also includes three years working as an insurance adjuster, giving him valuable insight into both sides of the restoration process. That dual experience helps him advocate for customers with clarity, accuracy, and confidence.

Richard’s first connection to Freed happened while assessing a roof for an insurance claim. From the moment he stepped on site, he was struck by the team’s professionalism, communication, and attention to detail. That encounter sparked a desire to get back to the contractor side of the industry—this time with a company that aligned with his values. The choice was easy: Freed.

Today, Richard serves as a Customer Success Specialist, a role that’s all about setting jobs up for success before a crew ever steps on-site. He meets with homeowners at the start of the process, conducts consultations, and builds out detailed project plans that align with each client’s goals and budget. With his deep understanding of both construction and insurance, Richard helps customers navigate materials, timelines, and options with ease. He also works closely with Freed’s production team to ensure every handoff is smooth and every project is teed up with excellence.
